Alfonso Orol, Chief Executive Officer
Alfonso Orol holds a MSc degree in Civil Engineering from the Universidad Politecnica (Madrid, Spain) and an MBA degree from IESE, University of Navarra (Spain). Alfonso started his professional career with an international infrastructure company working on a number of civil construction projects in Spain. Later he joined Cintra in 2005 and has been involved in the development and management of infrastructure projects in Europe and North America. In 2015 he joined SH 130 Concession Company, LLC in Buda, TX as the Chief Executive Officer. He has substantial experience in all aspects of toll highway concessions, including construction, operations, legal and finance and administration.
Paul Harris, Chief Financial Officer
Paul Harris holds a degree in Accounting from University of Wales and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales. He has over 20 years’ experience in both public accounting practices and commercial organizations and for the 12 years prior to joining SH 130 CC he was CFO for North America for a software and services company listed on the London Stock Exchange. Paul joined SH 130 Concession Company, LLC in August 2013 and is responsible for the financial department.
Matt Pierce, Chief Operations Officer
Matt received a Bachelor of Science from Indiana State University with minor concentrations in Marketing and Political Science. He has pursued additional training in corporate communication strategies, public policy development, market share analysis and ISO training. With more than 15 years experience in Public Relations, Marketing, Customer Service and Operations, Matt has used his skills to successfully manage communications and operations within large organizations. Matt was most recently the Chief Operations Officer for the Indiana Toll Road at ITR Concession Company, LLC.
Steven Thoreson, General Counsel
Steve Thoreson is a licensed Texas attorney with over 14 years experience in the Real Estate and ROW industry serving property owners and government agencies. After graduating from Hamline University School of Law, in St. Paul, Minnesota, he went into private practice representing property owners and government agencies in right of way related matters, including relocation claims and eminent domain actions. In 2001 he moved to Arizona where he managed relocation projects, including the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport Expansion and Valley Metro Light Rail. After a short time managing the Uptown Corridor Acquisition and Relation Program for the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, Texas (Metro) he came to SH 130 Concession Company, LLC as Right of Way Manager.
