SH 130 Concession Company Names Adam Hesketh as Chief Financial Officer

Veteran infrastructure executive will lead financial strategy

AUSTIN, TEXAS — (May 3, 2022) — SH 130 Concession Company, the private entity that operates and maintains the 41-mile southern section of the SH 130 toll road between Austin and San Antonio, has named Adam Hesketh as its Chief Financial Officer.

Hesketh joins the company from KPMG, where he was a managing director in the firm’s infrastructure advisory practice.

“I’m excited to join the SH 130 management team at such a pivotal time for the company and the Central Texas region,” Hesketh said. “Strong traffic growth along SH 130 demonstrates that the roadway is playing an increasingly important role in regional mobility. I look forward to working with the rest of the SH 130 team to support this critical transportation corridor.”

Prior to joining KPMG, Hesketh held senior roles at the global toll-road operator Transurban Group, including vice president of North American development and CFO for the company’s North American operations. Transurban’s North American business grew significantly during Hesketh’s tenure, as it worked closely with its public sector partners to address transportation needs in one of the most congested areas of the U.S.

In addition to leading projects through pre-development, negotiation and execution, Hesketh was responsible for financial planning and reporting, and successfully executed billions of dollars of project finance transactions across various stages of the project life cycle. He has also advised a number of public sector owners on the advancement of key infrastructure priorities.

Opened in 2012, the southern section of SH 130 connects two of the fastest growing metro areas in the U.S and serves as an alternative route for I-35, one of the busiest international freight corridors in North America. Traffic along the road jumped 62% in 2021 reaching an all-time high. Volumes are continuing to grow in 2022, increasing 39% year-over-year in the first quarter.

“We are confident that SH 130 will keep playing a vital role in Central Texas’ regional mobility as the rapid growth in Austin and San Antonio continues,” said SH 130 CEO Doug Wilson. “We’re excited to have someone with Adam’s experience and proven capabilities join our management team to help accelerate and manage the growth we are experiencing now and the growth we see ahead.”
